It was a privilege to serve the hardworking employees at Yokohama Industries Americas Inc., LLC with United Way of Pickens County's Free Tax Preparation program. Did you know that Free File offers free basic tax return preparation to qualified individuals? United Way of Pickens County provides free tax help to those who need assistance in preparing their tax returns, including individuals who generally make $64,000 or less. We are committed to making tax preparation accessible to all members of our community.

We are so thankful for our SUPER 😉 🏈 partners at BLUE RIDGE ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE INC and EASLEY COMBINED UTILITIES for their generous support of 211. 211 is our 24/7 resource line that helps connect neighbors to the resources they need.

We were able to serve employees of Reliable Sprinkler with our Free Tax preparation service this week. Providing free tax preparation services through the Free File program is an invaluable contribution to the community, helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of tax season without financial burden. The partnership between Reliable Sprinkler and the United Way of Pickens County, along with the dedication of IRS-certified volunteers, underscores the importance of collaboration in supporting the community's well-being.

It's United Way Public Policy Day and our own Matt Smith and Karen Culley are meeting with legislators to discuss issues important to Pickens County and to our State. They had the good fortune of running into Naomi Lett, Senior Director of State Policy and Advocacy for United Way, while at the State House today. We are thankful for the opportunity to meet with our elected officials to discuss issues related to education and economic mobility that impact the quality of life for our neighbors right here in Pickens County!

We are grateful to the Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Co., Inc. team that came out to help sort and organized the massive Walmart clothing donation we received.
