The Woman of Impact Award recognizes the supporting excellence of a woman in business who excels in her support role for the company in which she works. Behind the scenes, she is dependable, organized, and serves as a steady and consistent force that keeps others on task, and her supporting role serves as inspiration and encouragement to others. The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor Terressa Batson, Financial Services Manager & Human Resource Coordinator with Powdersville Water, as its Women’s Alliance 2023 Woman of Impact. As the Financial Services Manager & Human Resource Coordinator of Powdersville Water, Terressa’s supervisors and co-workers describe her as a right-hand person, noting her competency, approachability, reliability, and responsiveness. During her 16 years of service with her employer, she has become a steady rock for their workforce, not only keeping herself on task, but helping others stay on task as well. Due to Terressa’s established dependability, managers and staff often come to her with all sorts of questions and issues. She is empathetic to those needs & issues and is always willing to go the extra mile to find the information and resources to best address the situation at hand. She is described as a model of excellence, an inspiring manager, a caring co-worker, a constant encourager, and a valued friend. In her role as Finance/Human Resource Coordinator, Terressa manages the company’s performance evaluation program, the training & travel budget, coordination of leadership & professional development opportunities, professional licensing & certification recognitions, years of service recognitions, and assists with project management tracking. In addition to her many duties, Terressa recently earned her Government Finance Officer Certification, valuing her own continued professional development.
