On Friday, September 20, Clearview Simpson Heritage Foundation revealed the playground at 304 West D Avenue in Easley honors Easley City Councilman Thomas H. Wright, Sr. Through his 35+ years of service, Mr. Wright has helped to preserve the rich heritage within our community. His dedication as an Easley City Councilman, Mentor, and Friend to many has made Easley what it is today. Clearview Simpson Heritage Foundation’s mission is to promote understanding and appreciation of the diverse cultural, ethnic, and minority groups of the upstate through the creation of programs and services that will preserve our shared histories, encourage learning, and enhance the lives of members of the community. They provide mentorship to young leaders and scholarships to students pursuing higher education. Since 2017, over 44 scholarships have been awarded to students pursuing higher education. The playground is located at 304 West D Avenue in Easley and will serve as a safe place to spend time and host community events. There are plans to continue to enhance the playground for the community to further enjoy it.
