Easley Chamber of Commerce Launches Business Chamber Academy

Easley, SC – February 13, 2025 – The Easley Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of its new Business Chamber Academy sponsored by Pinnacle Financial Partners. The Chamber Academy is a comprehensive program designed to provide business, entrepreneurial, and educational resources to its chamber members or those looking to start a business.

The Chamber Academy aims to support local businesses by offering a variety of resources, including workshops, seminars, mentorship opportunities, and access to valuable business tools. This initiative is part of the Chamber's ongoing commitment to fostering a thriving business community in the Easley and Powdersville areas.
"We are thrilled to introduce the Business Chamber Academy," said Brian Swords, president of the Easley Chamber of Commerce. "Our goal is to empower our members with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today's competitive business environment. By providing these resources, we hope to create a supportive network that encourages growth and innovation. We are grateful to Pinnacle Financial Partners for joining us in this new endeavor. Pinnacle has always been committed to providing access to valuable educational tools for those looking to start a business, or those that have been in business for many years.” said Swords.

Key programs and services of the Business Chamber Academy include:
  • Workshops and Seminars: Covering a wide range of topics such as marketing, finance, leadership, and technology.
  • Mentorship Programs: Connecting members with experienced business leaders for guidance and support.
  • Educational Resources: Access to online courses, business templates, and industry reports.
  • Networking Opportunities: Regular events to help members build relationships and collaborate with other local businesses.
The Chamber Academy will kick off on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 9:00 am with a six-week “Mastermind Group” that will be facilitated jointly by the Chamber, Pinnacle Financial Partners, and mentors identified from our chamber membership. Our mastermind group will be made up of small business owners who are faced with similar challenges. The group will offer a combination of brainstorming, problem-solving, and peer accountability to help businesses reach their goals. The mastermind group will help each other achieve success faster by sharing best practices and creative solutions, shortening the learning curve for everyone. Members of the group challenge and support each other in setting strong goals — and more importantly, help each other accomplish those goals. Registration for this group will be limited to 18 participants. Participation will be free to members of the Easley Chamber, Powdersville Business Council, and Downtown Easley Business Council. The fee for non-members is $159.00.

“Our small and medium-sized businesses are faced with challenges each day. A mastermind group is a perfect way to work through challenges and learn best practices from fellow chamber members and business owners, as well as mentors who are selected to participate,” said Swords.
The Easley Chamber of Commerce invites all members to take advantage of the Business Chamber Academy and participate in its upcoming events. For more information about the academy and how to get involved, please visit www.easleychamber.org or contact the Chamber office at (864) 859-2693.
