Tri-County Technical College Honored as Pillar of the Community

The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce hosted its 77th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on March 13 at Tri-County Technical College-Easley Campus. Sponsored by Truliant Federal Credit Union, the event honored several businesses and individuals for their leadership and community service.

Among those awards, Tri-County Technical College was honored as the 2025 Pillar of the Community, which honors a long-standing business that contributes to building a strong foundation for our Easley-Powdersville community and is highly respected as an important stakeholder in making our community resilient, vibrant and successful.

Thi-County Technical College was established as a public two-year community and technical college serving Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties in South Carolina in the 60’s in response to the need for training and developing a skilled workforce. Today, it boasts the highest student success, transfer, and graduation rates among two-year colleges in the State and ranks in the top one percent nationally for successful student transfers to four-year colleges and universities.

Tri-County Technical College serves more than 9,000 students annually in more than 70 major fields of study at four full-service campuses, a state-of-the-art Industrial Technology Center, and online. Located in the heart of our community, Tri-County has long been a cornerstone of education, training, and workforce development, empowering countless individuals and families to reach their full potential in our Tri-County area, and over the last two decades, that commitment has grown even stronger with individual campuses located in each of the three counties tha are served by the college.

Since its founding, Tri-County Technical College has been dedicated to offering high-quality, accessible education tailored to the needs of its students and the demands of our local economy. With a commitment to fostering academic excellence and encouraging personal growth, TCTC has continuously adapted its curriculum and programs to reflect the ever-evolving job market. From healthcare and engineering to business and information technology, the college provides a diverse range of degree and certificate programs that equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in their chosen fields.

Beyond academics, TCTC is a champion of community engagement. Through partnerships with local businesses, non-profits, and industry leaders, the college plays a pivotal role in shaping a skilled workforce that contributes to the growth and vitality of our tri-county area. Their innovative approaches, such as dual enrollment programs for high school students and personalized support services for adult learners, ensure that education is both attainable and impactful.

Moreover, the faculty and staff at Tri-County Technical College are nothing short of extraordinary. With their dedicated mentorship, they inspire students to push boundaries and embrace lifelong learning. Each individual at TCTC is committed to creating supportive environment, where every student can succeed, irrespective of their background or journey.
