The Powdersville Business Council Supports Local Community through MAMRE Missions Partnership

The Powdersville Business Council is proud to announce its 2025 community project, MAMRE Missions, a local organization dedicated to serving those locally in need within Powdersville and the surrounding areas by providing access to fresh produce, meats, non-perishables, and more via a monthly Mobile Food Pantry/Community Table.

MAMRE Missions is a non-profit and currently holds its monthly Mobile Food Pantry/Community Table in the parking lot of Powdersville First Baptist in Easley, SC. In addition, during the summer months, MAMRE Missions supplies a bagged nutritious lunch and breakfast items to the doorsteps of students and their families suffering with food insecurity.

Because of the passion in MAMRE Missions and its impact, the Powdersville Business Council Advisory Board selected them as their project for the year. The advisory board worked diligently to show its support. Throughout the year, members of the Powdersville Business Council volunteered with MAMRE Missions, participating in various service projects and events.

In addition to their time and efforts, the council also purchased supplies to aid MAMRE Missions and made a cash donation to further support their initiatives. "MAMRE Missions is doing incredible work in our community, and we're honored to have been able to support their efforts," said Brian Swords, President of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce.

2025 Easley Christmas Parade of Lights Grand Marshal Announced

Family of Retired Easley Fire Captain Barry Bridges Named 2025 Easley Christmas Parade Grand Marshal

Easley, SC – November 18, 2025 – The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that the family of retired Easley Fire Department Captain Barry Bridges has been selected as the Grand Marshal for the 2025 Easley Christmas Parade. The honor was announced last week at the Easley Chamber of Commerce State of the County luncheon.

“Captain Bridges’ gave many years of dedicated service to the Easley community as a fireman” stated Dr. Brian Swords, Easley Chamber of Commerce President, but many never realized that Capt. Bridges also volunteered as Santa Claus for countless Easley Christmas parades and events. Not only do we recognize his selfless service to our City, we want to thank him for the many smiles he brought to the faces of children in Easley!

Captain Bridges passed away unexpectedly this past Spring. Prior to his passing, he served the Easley Fire Department with distinction for many years, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and residents alike. His leadership and commitment to protecting lives and property have left an enduring legacy that continues to inspire future generations of firefighters. Captain Bridges will be represented by his family during the parade.

The Easley Christmas Parade, a cherished tradition that brings thousands of spectators downtown each year, will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 6pm. The “Easley Christmas Parade of Lights” celebrates the spirit of community and togetherness—values that Captain Bridges exemplified throughout his career.

“We are thrilled to honor the Bridges family as our Grand Marshal,” said Swords. “Captain Bridges dedicated his life to serving Easley as a firefighter and as Santa, and this recognition is a small way to express our gratitude for his unwavering commitment.”

Residents and visitors are invited to join the celebration and line the streets of downtown Easley for an afternoon of festive floats, music, and holiday cheer.

Rebuild Upstate Celebrates Grand Opening of Warehouse Facility in Easley, South Carolina

On Thursday, October 09, 2025, Rebuild Upstate celebrated its Grand Opening with a Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening Celebration.

The event was attended by founder Jake Beaty, Rebuild Staff, City of Easley Mayor Lisa Talbert, Clemson Mayor Robert Halfacre, community leaders, donors, and so many community supporters.

Over the last 20 years, Upstate Rebuild has repaired 1,700 homes, completed over 5,000 projects, and cumulated over 170,000 volunteer hours. To further this impact, the event highlights a significant milestone: this is their first fully owned and furnished warehouse facility that is fully equipped to store all the materials needed for construction, office space for staff, and training rooms. It’s centralized to better help the residents in need with the four counties they serve: Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, and Pickens County.

Their mission is to provide home repairs for low-income neighbors, preserving affordable housing, and fostering strong, sustainable communities. They offer a range of services, including home repairs, ramps, volunteer labor, and financial assistance.

The Woman of Impact Award recognizes the supporting excellence of a woman in business who excels in her support role for the company in which she works. Behind the scenes, she is dependable and organized. She serves as a steady and consistent force that keeps others on task, and her supporting role serves as inspiration and encouragement to others. The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor Louise Jackson, Director of Operations of the Pickens County Board of Disabilities & Special Needs, as its Women’s Alliance 2025 Woman of Impact.

For over two decades, Louise Jackson has been the quiet but powerful force at the heart of the Pickens County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs. She began her journey in 2004 as a Direct Support Staff, serving individuals with dedication and compassion. From those very first days, her commitment has been unwavering.

By 2005, she had already left her mark, creating the Material Management Department, which significantly improved efficiency and saved valuable resources for the agency. In 2016, she was named Director of Facility Services, where she oversaw everything from procurement and maintenance to contracts, grants, and financial operations. Today, she serves as our Director of Agency Operations, bringing that same steady leadership, broad expertise, and unwavering service to every corner of the organization.

What makes Louise so deserving of this honor is not just what she has accomplished- it is how she has done it. When others see a crisis, Louise sees a challenge to be met. She is the one who stays late to make sure staff are paid, the one who comes in on weekends to secure coverage for homes, the one who answers the call at 2 AM because she knows someone is counting on her. She never seeks the spotlight, but she ensures everyone else can shine.

Louise inspires by example. With humility, loyalty, and boundless dedication, she shows us that leadership is not about titles or recognition, it is about service. She has mentored staff into leadership roles, instilled a culture of doing the right thing for those we serve, and consistently lifted others up while shouldering the hardest work herself.

Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Record Growth and Launches New Innovative Member Programs

The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce a surge in membership and the rollout of new initiatives designed to support and educate our local business community. In the past few months alone, fifty new businesses have joined the Chamber, reflecting a growing confidence in the economic outlook of the greater Easley area.

“We’re seeing momentum across every business sector,” said Dr. Brian Swords, President of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. “Adding fifty members in a quarter underscores the value companies place on networking, advocacy, and professional development within our region.”

To build on this momentum, the Chamber has introduced two new flagship programs:

Manufacturers Alliance: A collaborative platform for local manufacturers to share best practices, access specialized training, and advocate collectively on issues impacting the production sector. Click here for the August 12 Luncheon.
The Chamber Academy: A dedicated educational arm offering workshops, certification programs, and guest lectures on topics ranging from digital marketing to financial management—open to all Chamber members at no additional cost.

Recognizing that evening time slots often work better for small-business operators balancing tight daytime schedules, the Chamber has also reinstated its popular Business After Hours networking events. These gatherings provide an informal setting for businesses to connect one-on-one, showcase their offerings, and spark new partnerships.

“Bringing back Business After Hours has been a top request from members,” added Swords. “It levels the playing field for smaller enterprises that can’t step away from the office during daytime hours.”

Another area where the chamber is seeing tremendous engagement is in their Young Professionals (under 40) group. “Our YP committee has put in a lot of work to engage this sector, and we’re seeing great results and a lot of excitement” said Swords.

The chamber has also added a part-time director of membership and engagement, which has helped ignite a surge in participation in chamber events. “We’re seeing participation increase in almost all of our events” said Swords. “This position has helped us connect with our new members and reconnect with many of our existing members.”

Beginning in late July, the Chamber will be reintroducing their orientation program, Chamber 101, where new members can meet with the staff and learn more about the resources available through their chamber membership. The chamber is extending an invitation to new members, as well as existing members that want to be more engaged, to attend one of the Chamber 101 sessions. Registration is free for chamber members. On Friday, June 13, Cindy Fox Miller & Associates hosted the Easley Chamber's Young Professionals morning networking event and provided a great time for attendees, food, and giveaways! Melting Trading Co. supported the event by providing their signature and delicious coffee.

Attendees had a great time connecting with peers while getting the opportunity to hear from Cindy Fox Miller. She discussed her passion for business and serving from her mother, Jo Anne Fox. She reiterated to attendees how important it is to get involved in the community, which leads to doors, opportunities, and the betterment of your community. In addition, attendees got to know one another a little better through an icebreaker question, which was provided by CFM's team. Leadership Pickens County Graduates Class XXXIII

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, twenty-three local leaders graduated from Leadership Pickens County (LPC) Class XXXIII at Southern Wesleyan University’s Bryant Lodge. Established in 1991, Leadership Pickens County is sponsored by the chambers of commerce in Pickens County and provides a framework of experiences for local leaders to become more informed and actively involved in the decision-making processes of their community. LPC consists of an opening retreat followed by nine full-day sessions addressing areas in leadership skills, diversity, education, local & state government, healthcare, community service, economic development, and tourism/recreation.

In addition to the community service session, the class selects a community project to be completed before graduation day. LPC Class XXXIII raised $24,790 to build The Walkway to Wellness at Alabaster House in Easley. The project was selected and completed weeks before graduation day.

Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County (BHSPC) Celebrates Relocation to Easley

On Friday, March 21, Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County (BHSPC) hosted a grand opening to celebrate its relocation to 208 East 1st Ave in downtown Easley. Present at the event were state and community leaders, staff, family, friends, clients, and supporters of BHSPC. The event included a ribbon cutting at 10 AM, tours of the whole facility, meeting staff/board of directors, resources, lots of information, refreshments, and food.

The Storehouse of Pickens County Honored as Non-Profit of the Year

The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce hosted its 77th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on March 13 at Tri-County Technical College-Easley Campus. Sponsored by Truliant Federal Credit Union, the event honored several businesses and individuals for their leadership and community service.

Among those awards, The Storehouse of Pickens County was honored as the 2054 Non-Profit of the Year, which recognizes an organization that has demonstrated a strong effort in successfully using its organizational mission and resources to improve the quality of life in Pickens County, along with working in close partnership with the business community to achieve the desired results.

The Storehouse was officially established in 2021 and carries a mission to “foster relationships that transform lives, offering the love of Jessu as the foundation for lasting hope”. The do this through “dedication and love to all the neighbors of Pickens, Greenville, and Anderson Counties. In times of crisis, they provide hope, kindness, and essential resources to help individuals and families build sustainable, brighter futures.”

The Storehouse has existed since 2005 when 5 Point Church created a food pantry when whuch was ignited when a man showed up to their church asking for food. There was no pantry established, and a member of the church gave this man the only cash they had with them: 5 dollars. The following week came, and another individual showed up asking for help because that man had told them the church had given him something. The visits requesting help became a weekly occurrence, therfore a food pantry was established to fulfill the need of Pickens County Residents.

Then in 2021, 5 Point Church acquired a 50,000 square foot building, with 20,000 square feet dedicated to The Storehouse. The organization provides their services without any financial requirements, because everyone can go through a time of crisis.

Now, they offer two drive throughs, one in Easley and another at the Powdersville First Baptist Church for residents who are farther and still need help. They offer a Market twice a week for residents and families. At the Market, they get to choose the products they will use while getting on a path to financial independence as they are paired with a financial advisor to help them create a plan. This service can be used as long as needed with no time limit. They also offer the market once a week for seniors who are 60 and over. The seniors get a box of food which is sponsored by the Department of Agriculture and no senior is ever turned down. In total, they serve over 34,000 people each year, making them the second largest food pantry in Upstate South Carolina.

Beyond the food pantry, they help individuals and families with financial literacy programs and counseling and are working to finish out Phase II within the next couple of years. Phase II will utilize the rest of the space to add more community resources for residents in need. They want to make it a one-stop for all community resources where someone can come for help by getting to know all the resources that can be available to them. They will aid in filling forms that are for local, state, or federal help. This will be done in partnership with other non-profits who will utilize a portion of the space to set up their office to offer services residents may be seeking.

This is all managed by one employee, Lesa Howard and aided by 5 Point Church and its many volunteers. It flourishes because of its volunteers and because of the many partnerships with individuals, families, and businesses. As it continues to grow, their mission remains the same and they remain true to dedicating and serving our neighbors in Pickens, Greenville and Anderson Counties to restore the “faith, hope, and love” of individuals and families. Off The Block Physical Therapy Honored as Small Business of the Year

Among those awards, Off The Block Physical Therapy was honored as the 2025 Small Business of the Year, which recognizes a small business with a special entrepreneurial spirit, a unique marketing approach, or a special focus on the customer that results in a more consistent space.

Dr. Antonia Counts founded Off The Block Performance Physical Therapy with a vision to provide high-quality, athlete-focused care outside the constraints of insurance. She started as a mobile physical therapist, traveling from house to house and gym to gym to meet patients where they were. Over time, she secured her first office inside a CrossFit gym, allowing her to establish a more consistent treatment space.

As demand grew, Off The Block expanded with its first standalone clinic in Central, SC at 1276 18 Mile Road which then followed by a second location in Easley at the newly renovated Southern Weaving Mill (210 Fern Street, Suite K). Since its inception, Off The Block PT has been proud to serve Pickens County, helping athletes and active individuals stay strong, recover faster, and perform at their best.

All while running a thriving business, Dr. Counts also serves as a business advisor for PTBiz, guiding other physical therapy professionals in growing their practices. She is in the current Leadership Pickens County Class where she serves as the Project manager, making history as the class to raise the highest funds in history.

She is married to Cole Counts, and together they have two dogs and are excitedly expecting their first child in August.

Jeff Kittle Honored as Board Director of the Year

As part of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce 77th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on March 13, Jeff Kittle of SERVPRO - Team Harloe was honored as the 2024 Board Director of the Year.

Each year, by secret ballot, the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors selects a Director of the Year. This honor recognizes a board member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty...someone who leads by example…someone who has kept others on course and motivated.

For any organization’s success, there are many aspects that require oversight and due diligence, but none more important that the role of chairman. Not only did he do one tour of duty as board chairman, Jeff Kittle stepped up to serve as chair when everyone was busy. This ensured a smooth transition and while he did not hesitate to step into the role a second time, little did anyone know that he would be faced with finding a new chamber president.

He navigated that task with ease, and and ensured the chamber kept moving forward without any interruption. During his time on the board, Jeff worked closely with Cindy and now Brian to oversee our chamber’s performance. With a true servants heart, he leads by example with excellent meeting attendance, active participation in all of our chamber events & programs, and he’s always willing to pitch in and help whereever and whenever needed.

Debi Brannon Honored as Powdersville Advisory Board Member of the Year

The Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce proudly facilitates the Powdersville Business Council (PBC), which is led by a group of nine Advisory Board members. The PBC promotes the well-being of the business, professional and industrial community of the Powdersville area.

As part of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce 77th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on March 13, the chamber honored Debi Brannon of WonderWell Vacations as the recipient of the 2024 Powdersville Advisory Member of the Year. Selected by members of the PBC Advisory Board, this award honors an Advisory Board member who leads by example and has kept others motivated and engaged.

Debi Brannon joined the Powdersville Advisory in January of 2022, well into the planning for the launch of Rhythm on the Rive. She then became the treasurer in 2023. She started with the PBC Advisory Board as the owner of Eggs Up Grill Powdersville. Once the business was sold, she ensured the new owner was involved and in the loop with the Powdersville Business Council and the Easley Chamber, making it an easy transition. She dedicated much of her time to help secure Eggs Up Grill Powdersville as one of the caterers for the PBC luncheons, pushed for Eggs Up Grill to be the lunch sponsor for the PBC Golf Tournament, and took part in providing giveaways to golfers and Litter Pick-Up Powdersville volunteers. She ensured attendees were motivated to attend events hosted by the group.

She was even more vital when it came to launching Rhythm on the River on May 7th, 2022. She advocated for quality and while competing with the Azelea Festival that year, she boosted morale for the group to give it their all. The event was successful and bigger than expected. The food trucks sold out their food, kids were satisfied with their goodies, dogs were adopted, parents were happy with their kids being happy, craft vendors sold many of their products, the music was great, and it all went without a hitch. She helped to push it to be an annual event and became a founding member of Connect Powdersville; created to maintain the growth and success of Rhythm on the River. The event is now a staple event for the Powdersville Community.

She helped to do this, all while being a dedicated mother and wife, and a small business owner of WonderWell Vacations. She is a true asset to our PBC Advisory Board, the Powdersville community, and the Easley Chamber.

Jane Garrett Honored as Downtown Easley Advisory Board Member of the Year

In November 2020, the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce proudly launched the Downtown Easley Business Council (DEBC) to provide support to businesses located in the TIF District of downtown. Our DEBC is led by a group of six Advisory Board members, and each year, the Advisory Board honors one of its members who has led by example and has kept others motivated & engaged in the downtown district.

As part of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce 77th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on March 13, Jane Garrett of Garland & George, Purveyors Of Quality Antiques was honored as the 2024 DEBC Advisory Board Member of the Year.

Jane Garrett joined the board in 2022, where she has served as the secretary since. As secretary, she has helped to keep the council on track. She has helped to communicate our message & goals with downtown businesses. She ensures everyone is on board with decisions and events by making sure everyone is seen and heard.

Jane has dedicated a lot of her time to helping the council move forward with the second mural of the Arts Trails in downtown Easley by allowing her business to be the location where it will be painted and unveiled later this spring. With her aid and ideas, the council and city representatives have been happy with the outcome of both renderings, the first completed last year at Venture Church and the second coming to you this May. She has done this while running her own business, which has been in downtown Easley over the last 12 years.

Her grounded role has allowed us to move forward as a team and her enthusiasm to bring more to downtown has been vital in working with other downtown businesses to bring future events so that businesses can flourish as the City of Ealey continues to grow. Thanks to her commitment, we continue to build the foundation that our Downtown Council will continue to stand on for many years to come.

Cindy Fox Miller Honored with Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award

As part of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce 77th Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on March 13, Cindy Fox Miller, Owner of Cindy Fox Miller & Associates, was honored as the recipient of the 2025 Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award.

Sponsored by Duke Energy, the Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award pays tribute to an individual who uses their time, talent and compassion to positively affect the lives of others in their community or in the workplace. Recipients foster a culture of citizenship and service that acts as a catalyst for others to become involved in civic and social activities.

Trent Acker, District Manager of Duke Energy Carolinas, recognized Cindy Fox Miller for her building a legacy of service—impacting lives, strengthening communities, and inspiring others to do the same.

Cindy's journey began with a remarkable woman who set the foundation for her career and values—her late mother, Jo Anne Fox - a name synonymous with professionalism, integrity, and dedication. Through both her guidance and example, Jo Anne instilled the principles of hard work, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to serving others—a legacy that would go on to impact thousands.

After graduating Easley High School and Clemson University, she began her career in 1989 at Barnes and Tripp Real Estate in Powdersville, one of the Upstate’s most successful boutique real estate firms, led by Jo Anne Fox. Inspired by her mother’s values, she went on to build her own real estate company known as Cindy Fox Miller & Associates, a team recognized for expertise, integrity, and results.

More than three decades later, she is known not only as a respected leader in real estate but as a champion for her community. Through her work, she has helped thousands of families find homes, created career opportunities, led major business initiatives, and strengthened the fabric of our community through tireless volunteerism.

In 2009, she co-launched Keller Williams Western Upstate, leading its expansion to 11 locations and establishing it as one of the top-performing real estate firms in the Upstate. As a tribute to her mother’s legacy, she named her Highway 153 office “Keller Williams Upstate Legacy”, a lasting symbol of excellence and service. From this location, her team, Cindy Fox Miller & Associates, continues to serve the community—not only in real estate but through service and leadership alongside their dedicated leader.

Over the years, she has actively served organizations that strengthen both the community and the real estate industry. She has held leadership role as Chairman of the Baptist Easley Hospital Foundation, Chairman of the Greenville Multiple Listing Service and as Board Member of Cornerstone Bank. She has also played a longstanding role in the Powdersville Business Council, serving as Chairman where she was recognized twice as “Outstanding Council Member of the Year”.

Her contributions to economic development, mentorship, and civic service have earned her and her team numerous honors, including being named “Small Business of the Year” by the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce in 2019 and receiving the “South Carolina CTE Champion” Award from the Anderson Career & Technology Center in 2020 for her efforts in providing internships and career training for high school students.

Perhaps her greatest strength is her ability to bring people together—torally a community, build opportunities, and create a sense of belonging wherever she goes. Whether mentoring the next generation of professionals, advocating for small businesses, or helping families find a place to call home, she has made it her mission to serve others with excellence and integrity.

Her vision for uniting the community led her to co-found Connect Powdersville in 2022, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering local engagement and strengthening connections among residents and businesses. Through this initiative, she helped launch Rhythm on the River, Powdersville’s signature music festival at Dolly Cooper Park, which drew over 7,000 attendees in 2024, solidifying its place as a beloved annual tradition.

Her dedication to service and philanthropy continues today. She serves as Co-Chair of Connect Powdersville, ensuring its mission remains strong, an AnMed Foundation Trustee, working to enhance healthcare initiatives in the Upstate, and as a new Charter Member of the Dream Center Women Foundation, where she hopes to assist in programs that uplift and empower women in need.

While her leadership has shaped the business and civic landscape of the Upstate, her heart remains with her family and community. She lives in Powdersville with her husband, Scott, who works as an agent on the real estate team and also manages their rental property portfolio. Together, they continue a legacy of service, dedication, and commitment to the place they call home.

Brandon McCurley Honored as Young Professional of the Year

Among those awards, Brandon McCurley with Fort Hill Natural Gas Authority was honored as the 2025 Young Professional of the Year, which honors an emerging leader who strives to meet the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who devotes time and energy to their community, and who serves as a role model for other young leaders and professionals.

Brandon McCurley is a true entrepreneur, hard worker, team player, community servant, business owner, and dedicated father & husband. Prior to starting his career with Fort Hill Natural Gas, he served in the United States Air Force until 2011. While in service, he was deployed to Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan.

Upon his return, he started his career as a crewman at FHNG where he later advanced to Gas Controller & Industrial Representative. From the beginning, he has shown the drive to learn, to grow, and to be involved. He has mastered his knowledge and skill in gas control and is always looking for ways to improve and being more efficient. To continue advancing in the industry, in 2023, he received his associate’s degree in business from Spartanburg Methodist College.

Currently, he serves as SC Chair of the Carolina Public Gas Association Operators Committee where he plays a key role in industry standards. He is the co-chair of the Easley Chamber’s Young Professionals Steering Committee where he has been an integral part of growing and improving the events hosted for Young Professionals. He saw the need to enhance the events by highlighting a non-profit at the events to encourage learning and volunteering opportunities. His leadership, mentorship, and dedication to professional growth is inspiring to the young professionals and encourages them to also engage and grow in their careers and community. This has allowed attendance to grow from 5 attendees on average to now over 20, with new faces showing up constantly.

He is also a part of the last class to graduate from the YP Academy class which was interrupted during covid which meant all classes were virtual. He then went through Leadership Pickens County Class 32 where he was a big part of their class, specifically on their community project. With his dedication, the class raised over $30,000 to complete their community project which is the highest any class has ever raised. Not only was he integral in fundraising for their project at Family Promise of Pickens County, he would also dedicate a lot of sweat hours after work and on weekends. He could be spotted building a patio, digging holes, and fixing areas inside and outside of the project building. He ensured there were volunteers to finish the job! With his diligence and leadership, the project was completed a few weeks prior to the project deadline.

Upon graduation, he was invited to be part of the Board of Regents where he leads and organizes LPC classes, as well as explores ways to enhance the program. He also currently serves as a Family Promise Board Member and Maintenance Chair.

On top of this, he is a veteran business owner of McCurley Leatherworks, where he handcrafts and customizes leather wallets, belts, phone holders, and so much more. He also engraves on wood. You name it and he can do it. He also co-owners Cascades Head Spa in Downtown Easley with his wife. He spent many hours, days, weeks, and months ensuring everything was up to standard for operations. He is a big support to his wife in all their business needs.

He dedicates his all to everything he is involved in and is always going above and beyond. He even finds ways to dedicate himself in hobbies. As an avid fisherman, he loves to support Fishing 4 Heroes while enjoying some time in nature.

Brandon Mccurely is someone who always answers the call when anything is needed, whether that is in the business word or personal life. He is someone who has done great things and continues to go above and beyond to serve those around him. His selflessness and commitment to service, to work, and life has impacted on the trajectory of many businesses, non-profits, and individuals. He is someone who will continue to impact everyone around him and will accomplish many more milestones.

Gabe Maddalena Honored as 2025 Ambassador of the Year

As part of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce 77th Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner on March 13, the chamber honored Gabe Maddalena nawith the Easley Branch of First Citizens Bank as the 2025 Ambassador of the Year.

The Chamber’s Ambassador Committee consists of energetic chamber members who serve as the volunteer public relations department of its organization. Together, they are an invaluable asset in membership retention efforts and goodwill for the chamber. The Ambassador of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has served the committee with active involvement, support, and leadership.

Throughout the year, the Ambassadors attend meetings, chamber events, and ribbon cuttings. They become liaisons between the chamber and our members and are always willing to provide support to our newest members. Gabe Maddalena has gone above and beyond in being present at chamber events and is always willing to help where they can.

Gabe was one of the first to reach out to join the Ambassador’s Committee when it was re-established in June of 2024, a couple of years after COVID-19 disbanded the group. His constant support has been something they have always done. Before moving to Easley, South Carolina 18 months ago, they supported their local chamber back home in Buffalo, New York. They were part of their local rotary chapter and served on a board to support their local high school students as they navigated their career aspirations. He carries 27 years of banking experience and is the Financial Sales Manager V. P. of First Citizens Bank – Easley Branch where he oversees residential and commercial lending.
